Why? A nice big waste of money right there. I've been a proponent of RNP for over 5 years but PASC/SCC did not need these approaches. Plus how many airplanes that have AC90-101 approval or airlines with OP SPECs fly into Deadhorse? One!

This airport actually has an ILS of 200' - 2400 RVR and no terrain issues. For the runway that doesn't (23), it has a (GPS) approach with LNAV minimums of only a whopping 16' higher then RNP0.30 minimums and 79' for RNP0.15 minimums.

Maybe the show 30ROCK is right with all their jokes about GE :D
