We would like to provide some guidance on our hiring plans over the coming weeks as we, and our aviation customers, adapt to the realities of COVID-19.
Over the long-run, we remain committed to growing the FlightAware team. All of the positions we have posted we expect to fill. However, the timing for filling these positions is subject to a great deal of uncertainty.
We will continue to post openings for positions that we believe are important to the future success of FlightAware. We will also continue to screen candidates. If you see a position that is of interest to you, we would encourage you to apply. It is likely that the hiring process will unfold slowly, and that we won’t be able to extend offers as quickly as we would normally. But the hiring process will continue. The pace of innovation at FlightAware is brisk and we would like to keep it that way. We appreciate your interest in our company and we hope that you and your loved ones are safe.
Working at FlightAware
FlightAware is the world leader in flight tracking; we accomplish this with creativity, innovation, dedication, diligence, and integrity. FlightAware is over ten years old, is self-financed, with millions a year in revenue, but still ambitious and with the hunger of a startup.
FlightAware's culture has been created around dedication to users and customers while having a good time doing it. There is no bureaucracy to slow down customer response or innovation with the exception of redundancy and standard tests to ensure reliability and accuracy.
FlightAware supports flex hours for most positions and a business-casual work environment. Lunch can be ordered using FlightAware's "LunchAware" system, which supports restaurant voting and cashless transactions. Fresh fruit and a variety of snacks are available for free. At the end of the day, FlightAware's Houston office has chilled beer in the refrigerator and plenty of frosted mugs.
Many of FlightAware's 110 employees hold an FAA pilots certificate and 100% of FlightAware employees have a passion for aviation and the service we provide.
In order to attract the very best, FlightAware offers competitive compensation, a fun work environment, and all the benefits that you would expect from the world's premier flight tracking company.
