They also hold the record of the longest glide for an Airbus 330 when in 2001 a fuel leak starved both engines over the Atlantic and the pilots managed to glide into the Azores from about 75 miles out thereby eclipsing the previous Air Canada held record with the Gimli Glider. Canadians seem to be quite accomplished at this type of airmanship.
