Dragon returns to Earth after 'grand slam' space mission

The first commercial mission to the International Space Station ended Thursday with the SpaceX Dragon capsule splashing down after a flight the company's founder declared a "grand slam." I agree with Wingscrubber it does feel like 1960's space exploration. I think its great that we are seeing private enterprise now participating but how about a air shuttle that can actually fly into space and return landing on its own. Oh yea, the space shuttle program. We cancelled it.

Yep, back to square one. I'm actually pinning my hopes on northrop grumman/scaled composites to revolutionize the way we achieve orbit.
