Airline will no longer transport lab monkeys after truck crash on Pennsylvania highway
The airline that transported a group of monkeys to the United States before a truck carrying them to a lab in Pennsylvania slammed into a dump truck has vowed it will no longer transport primates to the U.S. (www.nydailynews.com) More...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
Seems they should have been carried in something which would have withstood a crash better and not allowed the release of them. Would like to see a pix of how they were shipped.
Apparently wooden crates.
My conspiracy theory: Embarrassed by the truck accident, the airline says they will no longer transport monkeys (to get free publicity). The airline continues to transport monkeys and no one notices. If they do, the airline just replies, "What do we have to do with highway travel?" They look smart, and again, receive more free advertising.
They won't transport by air because of a crash on a highway? Curiouser and curiouser.....
Isn’t air travel supposed to be safer than road travel?
well - where do you think those monkeys were coming from?
Wuhan
Ding ding ding! You win the Kewpee doll! Speaking of which - I haven't had an Olive Burger from Kewpee's on the south side of Lansing in some time. Is it still out there? I think it was near the interstate...
