The operating company of Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia Airports (Sepang) Sdn Bhd, took out an advertisement in The Star hoping to find the owner of three Boeing 747-200F's parked at the airport. Authorities have tried tracing the registrations to an owner but have not been able to identify one. Spirit Airlines flight 969 from BWI to ORD was called back to the gate while taxiing. A passenger alerted a flight attendant about "suspicious activity," the flight attendant then told the pilot who took the plane back to the terminal. On Tuesday the Dutch government said that talks with US Customs and Border Patrol about installing "Pre-clearance" at Amsterdam Schipol Airport have ended, citing the travel ban President Trump issued recently. CBP Pre-clearance allows passengers on international flights bound for the US to be cleared by customs at their point of departure, as opposed to their arrival destination in the US. Sunday, French Air Traffic Control workers went on strike protesting a cap on recruitment and a lack of investment in employee systems. The strike is causing widespread cancellations for flights destined to different airports throughout France and flights routed across France. Those flights now need to be rerouted which is straining ATC stations in other countries. Rumors are also circulating that the strike will continue into the beginning of the business week. Richard Anderson, CEO of Delta, will retire in May. Current President, Ed Bastian, will step into the role of CEO. Richard Anderson's career at Delta will be remembered by the purchase of a 49% stake in Virgin Atlantic, as well as the purchase of an oil refinery. United announced new routes from San Fransisco today. Tel Aviv, Israel and Auckland, New Zealand will see thrice-weekly service beginning March 30, 2016 and July 1, 2016, respectively. Auckland will expand to daily service in October 2016. Xi'an, China will see thrice weekly service starting in May for the summer season. All three routes will be served on United's 787-9.
