interesting this a nav Canada initiative but we don't get adsb in Canada. We can only get limited coverage when close to the US . border. When will adsb be implemented for Canadians? See outrageous that we don't have it yet and nav Canada are the ones implementing this initiative
Is this mean that the ground ADS-B receivers are no longer needed?
that is correct...however, in their wisdom Nav Canada has decided to use only 1 frequency. No dissemination of weather etc. and the antennae will have to be top mounted.
