Air New Zealand's profit is forecast to tumble when it announces its result for the last six months. Forsyth Barr says the airline is in a downturn and it expects a "downwards consensus reset is necessary" given higher oil prices and sustained yield pressure over recent months. This is not just the oil prices effecting the carrier but a influx of Asian budget carriers flooding the competition in New Zealand

I beleive that but air new zealand will have to do a lot more in reducing air fares there a bit to high in some destinations
