Earthquake in Nepal: Air India, IndiGo, SpiceJet, others put flights to Kathmandu airport on hold

This is a single runway airport with no ILS. If a large relief operation is to be mounted, it will need help like the US government provided after the Haiti disaster. They will need teams to unload the aid and move it off site in order to turn the aircraft around as they have limited parking. Remember the Turkish Airline 330 that shut the whole place down a few weeks back.
