I suspect Alaska will make a deal with Hainan Airlines to feed them in Seattle. They are a five star airline with whom Alaska already has an interline agreement. Hainan has extensive routes in China which can be accessed through their hubs/focus cities in Beijing and Shanghai directly to North America. As American and Delta try to penetrate to Asia they will be in direct competition with Hainan who would then have every reason to deal with Alaska. Imagine customer service from Atlanta to Beijing.
