Looks like a Dash 8 series 200 short fuselage. That version has phenomenal short field performance. They fly East out of SYD for 430nm to YLDH (Lord Howe Island)to land on a runway just 886 metres in length (less than just 3000 feet). This very short runway is also subject to mountain turbulence...
