International operations at O'Hare are confusing sometimes. Some airlines, such as British Airways and Royal Jordanain are partners with American Airlines, but operate out of Terminal 5. Other airlines, such as Air Berlin and Iberia operate out of Terminal 3, with American Airlines. However, Terminal 5 is the only terminal with international capabilites, such as passport control. Therefore, all international operated airliners deboard at Terminal 5 and are towed to their next terminal for departure.
