With Frontier Airlines set to return to Reno Tahoe International next week after a ten year absence, I wanted to get this photo into my FA folder. Frontier will be the newest airline to begin serving KRNO. JetBlue made its first-ever regular service launch at KRNO a couple years ago along with Volaris. Allegiant also began regularly-scheduled service to RNO so when FFT begins flying into Reno next week, it will be the fourth new passenger airline to start Reno service in the past couple of years. (And ... the rumor mill has it that a Canadian airline may be making its debut sometime next year.)
In my 2013 photo here, FFT's N951FR is tucked in between a JBU A320 and a SWA B737. Next week, these same three airline tail designs will be seen at RTIA together for the first time. Welcome back to Reno, Frontier!
