Time for another photo from Olde Carl's "Wayback Machine." (lol) In actuality, this one isn't all that old ... it's only one decade back in time.
Clicked ten years ago in 2010, Fed Ex's "Bobby" (N211FE), a B722, is on the cargo ramp at RNO with American's N291AA, an MD-82, on approach to runway 16R in the background.
Even tho this shot is just ten years old, time has marched on and changes have come to both of the "T-tail" jets seen in this photo.
"Bobby" no longer flies for Fed Ex. N211FE was wfu by Fed Ex in 2014. However, the Boeing tri-holer did not stay grounded. It was acquired by Serve Air (Democratic Republic of the Congo), issued a new reg number (9Q-CVN*), and given a new name ("Ganesha").
* NOTE .... Prior to being issued to N211FE as its new reg number (meaning while N211FE was still flying for Fed Ex), reg number 9Q-CVN was assigned to a Lockheed L-1011. N211FE has held the new reg 9Q-CVN and the new name "Ganesha" since it began flying for Serve Air about six years ago.
As for AAL's N291AA, it was wfu a couple of months after this picture was taken. All Mad Dogs have now been retired from AAL's fleet.

On the day I took this photo, my flight was on American's N291AA. At the time, I did not know I was going to be one of the last passengers to fly on it while it was wearing American's paint.

Memories, eh. A moment in time and it's gone. Aren't we all glad to have cameras to preserve the moments?
