16-8471 —
My first of two posts into the gallery for today is another "first appearance" photo: this is the first time 168471 has been presented in the FA gallery. The VFA-151 "Vigilantes" CAG touches his F/A-18E Super Bug down on runway 31L at NAS Fallon as he returns from an afternoon training sortie. At sea, VFA-151 lands on the USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74); it lands at NAS Lemoore when at its home port.

Gary, thanks for sharing this one with us. Ya gotta love any CAG aircraft, especially one this nice!
TY, Cliff. You're 100% right; CAG birds are awesome. They all look great in pics, but if you ever find yourself Reno-bound, email me at OldeCarl (at) gmail.com with a few weeks advance notice and you will REALLY like what you see in person. You'll want to bring your camera for sure. (Grin and a Thumbs Up)
Thanks, Gary, and if I can ever make a trip to Reno, you will certainly be hearing from me and my camera!
5* Gary, nice picture!
Excellent shot, Gary! This shot and the one of Reno Airport at sunrise were both in the Daily Newsletter this morning!
Dave & Dwight, your comments are much appreciated. As I mentioned to Cliff, please contact me at the above email addy if either of you are ever going to be in the northern Nevada area. :-)
