The extraordinary Clemens Kohling, Pilot and Builder of this Pitts Special, Congratulation Capitan!!!!!
The first Pitts Special as I ever viewed was at GLH in the late 1960's. Milt Acker was the builder and owner/pilot. It flew anytime an airshow was held there and always parked beside Blythe Huntley's P-51 Mustang in the DeltAero hangar. DeltAero was an authorized Cessna dealership and a local FBO located at the former Greenville AFB. DeltAero, also owned by Blythe Huntley, later relocated and that huge former Air Force hangar and surrounding property were used by Hayes Aircraft in the mid to latter 1970's.
