Douglas DC-9 33-F Serial number 47193
One of two DC-9 freighters operated by Ipec Aviation up until 1999.
The aircraft did two runs a night between Melbourne and Launceston weeknights and a single run on the weekends, carrying freight perishables and newspapers. Also did a nightly run between Brisbane and Melbourne.
Unusual to see them in Launceston during daylight hours, must been a one of charter or catching due to flights being cancelled.
