The C150 commuter taught me how to fly back in the 1960's. Many others too!
Had a few of these "spam cans" at the Aero Club at Clark AB, Philippines, where I got my wings. One leg of my long cross country solo was in one over the South China Sea out of sight of land to a little island called Lubang. Talk about pucker factor!!! One of them consistently had low static RPM but the mechanic there kept blowing it off. Someone ended up putting it in a rice field after it finally quit, but they walked away. Good times!
Lots of training hours in one just like this. A rugged and maneuverable trainer!
