Rockwell Commander 114 (N1008R) - 1978 Rockwell Commander 112 TC-A. Photo was taken from the catwalk of the control tower at Van Nuys Airport in 1992. I had the pleasure of flying this airplane quite a bit in the early 90s before it was sold. The new owner then unfortunately crashed on final in Independence, CA in 1996 and the aircraft was a total loss. The tail number N1008R now belongs to a Mooney.
