A first officer from Virgin Airlines suffered a broken arm and leg after the thrust by a taxing Qantas 747 toppled the aluminum staircase he was standing on. The first officer was conducting a pre-flight check before departing to Bali on Friday. Brisbane Airports Corporation said it was working with Qantas and Virgin Airlines to get to the bottom of the accident, which occurred as the Virgin plane was standing at a gate at the international terminal. A 14 year old boy with autism went missing today after a Delta Airlines flight had to return to the gate due to mechanical issues. Passengers were told to deplane during the delay. A jet bridge ran over a JetBlue employee at the Fort Lauderdale airport early on Sunday, sending the 30-year-old man to the hospital, Broward County officials said. The man’s legs were trapped, and he had to be extricated before Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue took him to Broward General Medical Center, said airport spokesman Gregory Meyer.
