WestJet Boeing 737 Collides With Royal Canadian Air Force Hercules
On Wednesday, August 9th, in the afternoon, a WestJet passenger aircraft at Comox Valley Airport (YQQ) came in contact with a CC-130H Hercules military aircraft while taxiing on the ground. The aircraft was on its way to Edmonton and was on its way to the runway when the incident occurred. (simpleflying.com) More...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
The starboard side "wing" broke off? I think they meant "winglet."
Yeah, and where the article questions whether YQQ would have a WestJet maintenance base... I highly doubt it. It's essentially an RCAF base with a small civilian terminal attached. I wonder how difficult it is to fly the parts out and fix it up on-site.
