This incident was nearly SEVEN YEARS AGO per the article: "Aug. 18 2015", even though the article is dated "March 1st, 2022".

Sure sounds like an unqualified crew operating here and they should be fired. Not much good having an alternate if you don’t use it. 197 nm away at VOBG, a pretty decent airport & good weather.

Crew training and unpaid furlough or a pink DCM (don't come Monday) is what is required.

forget policies, how about competent pilot training and they would have done the right thing sooner, not leaving fumes in the fuel tank. THe final landing attempt found a concrete runway, but the pilot in command had no good idea where that runway was. THis crew needs a 6 month vacation, no pay. Then they get to go through new hire training one more time, this time whilst awake.
