Boeing inflicted this wound on itself by sacrificing safety in the name of profits. It clearly deserves a financial hit for all the lives lost because of it’s action.
"replace merit increases with stock awards".... it'd be less of an impact to the employee to just forgo the "increase" altogether for a year or 3. It's more affordable than giving them a worthless stock and is only going to further tank.
