'Dickson has noted the United States has an “unprecedented” aviation safety record; the United States has reported just one fatality in a U.S. passenger airline accident since 2009.'

That's true, but he is misapplying the truth to minimise the results of the safety oversights. Only one, eh? Essentially foreign lives don't count.

So, does that mean that you disapprove of the milestone, particularly in lieu of the 'gaslight' of the second statement that completely glosses over third world country 'safety records' because of, 'Whatever'. They crash a lot and kill many pax. and the NTSB and US aerospace companies are usually instrumental in sortin' it all out! That is, when the host DGAC or 'whomever' doesn't fear disclosure of poor training and maintenance ops. in the same equipment that US crews apparently don't have the same problems operating?

Accident investigation has boiled down to some level or another in politics these days and all of the above referenced national 'authorities' are ICAO participants.

Owned by the UN! imagine that.

Are we talking about the cozy inspection process for the MAX?

I'd like to see some heads roll over that, and a plan to avoid this in the future..

The gov needs to be held responsible.

The FAA has been revealed to be BOeing's butt-boy for years, and will take a few years minimum to assert its rightful role in aviation safety without political interference.
