This is BS.. every airline knows the value of freight.. the old saying goes, Boxes don't have feelings... boxes pay much better than pax.. more money to be maid per square foot etc..,it's not news

I guess they factor in whether freight pays its own way. It usually gets a free pass on the back of the pax flight, but if it contributed to the operating costs of the flight it might not be as profitable, so airlines didn't work that hard to maximize cargo. I think that's the point.
