British Airways Tells Cabin Crew: There Are Plenty of People Who Want Your Job

प्रस्तुत

BA are going to go on strike for 6 days from this Sunda in a disputes over pay.. British Airways is refusing to compromise and says that they pay their crew enough already: “We regularly recruit for Mixed Fleet cabin crew and we have lots of interest. In 2016 we received 31,000 applications for 2,000 cabin crew roles. We have more than 1,000 successful candidates who are due to participate in one of our training courses between now and March 2017.” (www.paddleyourownkanoo.com) और अधिक...

maybe so, but how long before the new crew of cabin bunnies are legal to work? How many flights would be cancelled due to lack of legal number of legal crew members? sounds like an empty threat, depending on how many go on the picket lines. Sounds like a fun company to work for, and I love the paint schemes on the planes....

At some point in their career they will reach max pay, then only the senority will accrue. Outside of the occaisional cost of living increase, that's all the job pays. To think differently, sets up for labour unrest and in these times, if you cause the airline too much pain they will replace you. Nowhere in their contract does it say "job for life"! Unfortunate, but reality.

Your largest, most meaningful contact with an airline is the flight attendants and to think that the flight attendant is pissed off at the airline for not paying them enough to make the airline look good to you ....

In other words if you have a problem with your employer, you will be easily replaced.
Watch your step BA flight attendants!

I recall chatting with the CSD on a BA 777-200 to Boston Logan in January 2007. The BA cabin crew unions were about to start another bout of disruption.

It was a truly civilised discussion, regarding the state of the world. He simply didn't understand my PoV that: "I choose to fly with you because you are my favourite airline. But these other guys will eat your lunch if you let them".

I still choose to fly with BA, as I am old enough to remember the question, at the time of privatisation: "What is the difference between a BA stewardess and a Rottweiler?" (Tis still focusses on the female cabin crew, obviously!)

Answer - "lipstick".

In truth, the BA cabin crew and drivers are almost uniformly professional and welcoming (we only missed Jersey in the Channel Islands once, and that was because of fog), so I continue to fly with them.

But be warned: bu**er-up my holiday and I'm off to Virgin!

t's not compulsory to work there. If they don't like the pay and conditions then leave and offer your valuable services elsewhere. STOP MOANING AND GET ON WITH THE JOB YOU ARE PAID FOR..! IF YOU DONT LIKE IT, LEAVE. YOU ALL THINK YOU ARE SOMETHING ELSE ANYWAY, LOOKING DOWN YOUR NOSE AT US, AND I TRAVEL UPPER/BUSINESS EVERYWHERE. YOU JUST SERVE FOOD AND DRINK, AND GET GOOD PAY FOR THAT...???

Recently flown and staff have said the strike won't make much ch difference.Only affects people with new contracts one said.
They get good travel perks and if they don't like it they should go elsewhere.Glad BA are not backing down.Let them go and hire people who want the job
