I hate to plead ignorance but if the picture in the story was the actual plane, it was not an Embraer as the story said. Looks like a CRJ to be

That's what I said to myself a while back. It's probably a canned photo and clearly a CRJ. You haven't lost it yet and they get what they pay for! I haven't argued with anybody about 10 knts. since I flew a Lear 23 with the unmodified wing.

Lear 23, now that brings back memories. I agree 10 knots, but that's what the approach briefing is all about. The guy flying may have had reasons: wake turb., wind gusts, wind shear......who knows, but you got to communicate.

10 knots fast landing in Houston?!?!? The horror!!!! It's a miracle they survived.

Seriously though, you couldn't pay me enough to be a captain at a regional. Deal with idiots like that all day? No thanks.
