New Video: Southwest 345 approach and nose-first landing

प्रस्तुत

This newly available video is the clearest video yet of the Southwest 345 nose-first landing. Seems to show that the captain pushed the nose down suddenly. There's speculation that the pilot got behind the airplane, and may not have wanted to roll past intersection with second runway, which would've added another 5 minutes to the gate arrival time. Great video. You can see how she pushed the nose over and landed nose first. Sounds to me like maybe something was going on in the cockpit? In all my years of flying I have never witnessed a nose first landing---it is just not natural, especially for an experienced checkairman as she reportedly was.

gearup328 I did not get the great video as you did. It was a 1"square PIP on the left top of the main player. Detail are really hard to see; even with my coke bottle glasses. Maybe another link will have better video....

I have not seen the new video anywhere but on this link to the local abc news video. I did look for it on video and search engine sites, but did not find another version of the vid.

If it does pop up anywhere, please post a link here, for anyone that may have issues with the news site.
