When I first started my career in engineering, I thought design strictly meant aesthetics. It was about colors, alignment, and polish. I used to think of design as something to implement, not something to participate in. As engineers, we tend to focus on feasibility and how to make things work, how to make it fast, and how to make it testable. I've always had an interest in design.
