The Russians Seem to have Copied the Bombardier C-Series Jets

प्रस्तुत

There are amazing similarities between the Sukhoi City Superjet 100. The cockpit of the Sukhoi is identical to the C-Series Jets. The windows are identical and the seating layout is identical. Perhaps we should call this the Bombardski. (sukhoisuperjet100.com) और अधिक...

What's seems strange is that the Sukhoi Design Bureau has had no experience in this sector of aviation. They have been a strictly military element for Russian Frontal Aviation. The point that their first flight occurred before the Bombardier Aircraft is entirely irrelevant. The Russians are notorious for industrial espionage. You seem to forget that history when the Tupolev Design Bureau introduced the TU-144 before the first Concorde flew. Incidentally, the Russians reverse engineered a B-29. So first flight dates are irrelevant to your statement. Furthermore, Sukhoi has sold more than 55 models to Aeroflot. Aside from that they don't have a strong reputation in commercial aviation. Bombardier is the 3rd largest aircraft manufacturer on the planet. Incidentally, Sukhoi is heavily funded by the Russian government. This is not the emergence of capitalism. Bombardier had to delay their first flight because their was an uncontained explosion of their first P&W engine.

What in the hell do you think I was talking about with the B29 they did reverse engineer it I knew that when I wrote it. How else would they have done it back then? They got it from us. So goes the TU 144 do you have any evidence that they didn't use drawings they obtained to do the same? They produced several airliners which resembled Boeing AC by the way. Where did that come from and how? That was not an accident either. Doesn't matter either what they did previous either Boeing didn't build many things but went on to do other things too.

I am not arguing with you. In fact I agree with your points. The Russians have an agency within the FSB dedicated to industrial espionage. When you mention that they went on to do other things you would have to agree that their space shuttle "Burkan" looks an awful lot like the American design. It only flew once...I wonder why, do you have any ideas?

If it's on a computer, somebody can get it. They don't have to reverse engineer your machine, they just steal it's design. Long development times lead to loss of bidness. Just ask Lockheed about the Tristar. F35 might have some relevance here. As for the Buran, what you saw was what they could "afford".

That's an excellent point. Look at what the Chinese Air Force rolled out recently. It looks just like the USAF F-22 Raptor. However, I often wonder how well these stolen designs actually perform. Thanks for correcting me,in the case of the Buran. It may demonstrate a weakness in the attempt to steal Western technologies without the capacity for reliability and understanding the quality control process. It might look like a duck, quack like a duck, and fly like a well polished turd. The proof of Russian aviation technology and history is mired in cover-ups and the under reporting of accidents to ICAO. It's funny, today Russia and it's allies in the Shanghai Cooperation Group are buying Boeing, Airbus and even Bombardier products. We are fools if we believe our technology is not being carefully studied and replicated. Look at the case of IBM desktops. It's a Chinese brand being sold back to us as Lenovo. I am extremely concerned about the future of the Western Aviation Proprietary Technology. It is being stolen right under our noses. When you have economies of scale based essentially on theft and slave Labour we will be in deep trouble in the next decade. Remember the current Czar was a former KGB Colonel who wants to reconstitute a failed communist experiment with what he calls "managed democracy".

The Ruskies aren't all turds. They did produce the AN225, to carry the Buran, once.

Antonov is a Ukrainian company and they would be very hurt if you called them Russians. They may be an exception to the theory.

Actualy, I knew that and recognize the faux pas. As long as I have been aware of it, the Ukraines most egregious "bad hand" in life has been one of lat., longs. Living next door to Stalin, Krueshev, and now Putin.

They have gone on to form a company managed out of the UK to handle their exclusive abilities with a very specific and select group of clientele. I saw this machine in YYZ in what can only be described as an aluminum overcast. The monstrous Lyakov engines purred as it climbed out of Toronto.

If history serves me correctly, the Superjet flew about at least 2 years before the C-Series.....

Well look at all the rest of there airliners and such seems it did the same way back with the B29. It may have flown but who knows where they got the idea.
