Samsung Galaxy Note 7 explodes during Southwest flight boarding
A Samsung Galaxy Note 7, the kind of cellphone that has been recalled for overheating batteries, exploded Wednesday morning aboard a Southwest Airlines flight on the ground at Louisville. The incident happened about 9:15 a.m. as Flight 994 to Baltimore was boarding. Arson investigators confirmed that a Samsung phone overheated, leading to smoke in the cabin, according to WHAS-TV reporter Rachel Platt. (www.usatoday.com) और अधिक...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
Haha they needed arson investigators to confirm the situation
Samsung has come out with the fix. Boeing engineers gave it to them. They are sending out fireproof boxes to put your phone in.
Passengers were told not to bring a Note 7 on board. Is common sense a thing of the past? Come on passengers
...get educated and follow aviation rules. That device could bring down an aircraft.Fire is devastating to an aircraft. Follow the rules!!! Trust me...as a crew member I have been there.

I've never used this kind of Mobile. It's really dangerous and heats all of a sudden!!!
Well, wel... Perhaps the owner of this Galaxy7 didn't know that there was a recall of just this type of cellphone because just this type of problem... OR, perhaps, this was an ignorant idiot thinking that this sort of problem happens only to others...
I wonder why an ignorant idiot doesn't read the story in its entirety and get all of the facts before calling someone else an ignorant idiot.
Actually, the offending unit was a replacement for a recalled one. I don't think the first one torched.
