Flight crashes into building in Florida

प्रस्तुत

Amazing that no one was killed or more seriously hurt! A plane has crashed through the roof of a ‪‎Titusville‬ business, but those aboard only suffered minor injuries. (www.wftv.com) और अधिक...

They also do paint jobs. Maybe not much experience with this type of 'drop-in' business.
One of these can't-make-these-up. 8-)

Bright side is pilot will not have to pay a towing fee. Paint and body guys can jump right on it. :)

It just goes to show; if you are bound and determined to crash, do it without fuel.

I can just hear the shop calling you to tell you your car just suffered a mid air on the rack.

We found a Cessna in your carburetor, and the shop needs a rebuild....

That should buff right out. No fuel leaking so maybe he ran out?

Love the video from the firefighter, too. I was thinking he should be careful moving the metal from the roof around in case there was a fuel leak.

If the weather is good why would you need to file IFR?????

ANYtime I go to Florida I file IFR, regardless of the weather. There's so many students (both foreign and domestic) and all of the visiting traffic really clogs up the works. I'll take all of the advisory help and staging I can get!!

Let's also not forget all the special use airspace that FL has around the entire state. Flying IFR will prevent you from flying through a "hot" restricted area. If you are flying VFR, you must be more alert to the areas and ask questions.

Does the ground away from the airport count as 'restricted area'?

Flying on an instrument flight plan provides a higher standard of safety because you are guaranteed a level of separation and ATC service and they can alert rescue more quickly.

Filing IFR does not prevent engine failure. Nor does it cure one after the fact

I don't believe you are guaranteed the separation minimums in VFR conditions, though.

True. Separation guarantee is with other IFR aircraft, but separation from other VFR is usually provided at a higher priority level than just Flight Following.
