A Third Of The World's Remaining A380s Are Flying Once Again

प्रस्तुत

British Airways, China Southern, Emirates, Korean Airways, Qantas, Qatar Airways, and Singapore Airlines have all reactivated at least one of their superjumbos. This brings the total number of reactivated aircraft to 79 of the 246 remaining Airbus A380s. This is great news for the aviation community and shows the big strides the industry is, and has been, making to get back to where it once was (Pre-COVID). News per Simple Flying. Nothing compares with a 380 for passenger comfort, I've flown on A350's and while they're better than a 777 they still don't have the ride or quietness of the 380.

From a pax perspective, it's a lovely aircraft to fly in, and living out here in southern Australia, any flight to anywhere beyond New Zealand is going to be at least 6-8 hours, so comfort is very important. That's one of the major reasons why Qantas will continue to operate them. I love the 777 and the roar of its engines, but it's much noisier, even up the front in business. The A330 is not too bad but getting old. I haven't been on the A350 yet but apparently it's very quiet. For those reasons I think the demand for A380s will remain strong from a passenger perspective for a long time, but if Boeing makes big inroads in the noise factor on the 777X, that plus the A350, will hasten the A380 demise on long flights from places like Australia, with big twins eventually winning the race on both operating economics and passenger comfort.

The 777 used to be my favorite to fly pax in. I love it because it is a brute - much the same reason I love flying in the C-5. Then I got to fly on an A350 for a 15 hour leg. That was simply a fantastic ride, and I have made sure to pick flights with that equipment for my cross-continental jaunts when possible. It is now a very close 2nd place to the 787... which while not boasting the same level of interior comfort and quality as the A350 - it seems to just float along the clouds and has the most un-noticeable descent & depressurization of any aircraft I have ever been on. Literally came down from 39k to 4k and lining up for final before I realized that we had even descended at all.

Best aircraft I flew in. Quiet, roomy, and for whatever reason, the air is not as stuffy as other planes.

You cannot beat Emirates A380 in first or business

A butt-ugly plane IMHO, but I must admit the 380 sure rides nice!

For me, I will not fly on a airline for hours, where i have to wear a mask over my face!
I'm not a sheep! to these communist basters!
And they will continue to make you sheep's wear them as long as you submit to them.
I said sheep's.

Well said, "srobak". Has anyone seen last year's Darwin Awards list?
