What a waste... but on the other hand, understable.
A BBJ 747 based on a 747-8i, which only like 3 airlines in the world have one. Nobody really would like to take over a jet needs several hundred thousand to gut and put in interior for commercial use...
And given how few 747-8i were sold there probably not a market for a 747-8BCF or something...

I believe eventually there will be something like a BCF conversion, but probably not another 4-5 years before someone started to consider that (oldest 747-8i is only 10 years old or so)

How are they going to convert it they are already scrapping it also very old news.

So who owns that jet now? Who gets the money for the parts and recycled metals tires engines electronics etc?
