I sat next to an off-duty AA pilot flying out of Philadelphia. He told me they add 40 minutes to every flight to accommodate the consistent delays from pushback to take off.

Several years ago, my departing flight from the US Air terminal @ PHL, seemed to take a long time taxing out to the runway. I think they had or still have only one runway?
