There is very little news but I've heard things like birds to Unknown Aerial Phenomenon instead of actual aircraft violation... either way I would like to see if adsb or mlat had any data and if there is ATC Radar info. I know we're jumpy in DC airspace as a rule but they must have figured out fairly quickly as POTUS took off not too long afterward and the all clear came pretty fast after initial report.

NO AIRCRAFT WANDERED INTO DC AIRSPACE!!! Bad, bad journalism.

"A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said no aircraft was observed and the incident may have been an errant blip on a sensitive radar."

I WANT TO BELIEVE

lol yea, I posted this only a few minutes after it was reported by AP. The lockdown and response with military aircraft indicate the (FAA? DHS? I presume probably the latter, acting on information from the former) were alarmed by something, but that it was resolved less than 25 minutes later, yep, probably one of those things they need to assume is a threat but quickly verified it wasn’t.

Happy thanksgiving to all, and may the ATC gods smile upon those of us with flights tomorrow

The title was when the article was posted, which everyone thought it was an aircraft.

They've since updated.
