The U.S. Department of Transportation on Wednesday ordered the suspension of all commercial passenger and cargo flights between the United States and Venezuela, citing reports of unrest and violence around airports in the South American country. The Venezuelan political regime owns a lot of money to airlines. That’s the main reason for airlines not to keep flying Venezuela.
Unrest and violence around airport threaten the safety and security of passengers as well as crew as long as crew stay overnight. If they don’t, it’s not a threat.
What I don’t get it, is how could possibly be threaten the aircraft

USofA just putting the screws to an already punished country....starve them out and pick up the pieces later. Airlines screwed themselves, when they started tankering up on VE's cheap fuel.
