It really doesn't make a lot of sense to deny this sale for Airbus will just fill in any deficiency and it guarantees Airbus dominance in that market for many years. Might as well make the sale and get some of the money given to the Iranians by the previous administration back. There is no military use for the aircraft and there is no technology transfer beyond what they are already getting from Airbus.
