A lot of Boeing's high cost is their over seas Tech Reps in little needed places like Urmachi China as an example.Tech Reps were a needed representative of the different aircraft companies years ago but now they are little more then a reporting unit from outside of the main base.Honeywell reduced their cost 90% by making their tech reps a local hire type contract. No longer are they paying $150,000 to $250,000 a year for the expense of keeping an employing and sometimes his family that they were paying just $60,000 in his pocket.
