Bombardier is their own home grown aircraft manufacturer, and they adapted the airplane specs to fit that particular mission - short runway operations and quiet engines. Bombardier's loss is the Toronto waterfront's gain. Even if this jet bankrupts the airplane maker. Gotta love this new Canadian gov't.

Guess all those Toronto business folks will have to take a hike up to Pearson when need to fly anywhere outside turboprop range.
