Talked to a guy who works at Wallops. It costs Orbital a lot of $$$ to test these engines and they made a poor business decision by not testing enough. He was there at the last failed launch. Glad to here that his ears have finally quit ringing.

Why not dump all Russian-made engines! Do we want to become depend on Russia for this kind of application? Really?

I think we are far down that dependency road. For example, how many chips, capacitors, resistors that go into electronics critical to our National Defense are actually made in the USA. What percent of our national security depends on foreign chip manufacturers?
