Amazing, yes, but I have to ask: The stool was created specifically for this purpose? Does that mean faulty nose gear is common on these things?

My son served with VMA-231 in Cherry Point NC from 2010-2012 servicing the Harrier "jump jet" and they lovingly called them the "Scarier" jets due to their constant mechanical failures.

That was impressive and to think they had that noise stool for a backup plan. Nice job Capt.

Precise landing maneuver but what would have happened it there was no stool, nothing, the nose is stiff enough, ain´t it, so what is the big deal.
