Wow, rare bird - believe only JAL operated the SR version of the 747... and on domestic - high frequency flights.

Boeing 747SR was used by ANA as well as JAL.

Yes. This JA8119 was lost on August 12, 1985 as Japan Airlines Flight 123 from Haneda on the way to Osaka and crashed on the ridge of “Osutakayama” in Gunma Prefecture.

Thank you for marylou comment. Well, the background of the photo was actually sunny, but the sunlight falling on the plane was too strong to read the registration. So, when I asked Photoshop to give priority to airplane exposure (to the point where I could see the registration), I ended up with a photo with a dark background (^^;).
