Very good picture. Reliants prove an airplane can also be a work of art.

Hi Don, you're so very right it's art and thank you for your comment.

This looks like a perfect cross wind landing. I once landed at Kokomo in my V77 Gullwing coming home from OshKosh in a 35 knot crosswind! Solid and stable all the way to getting all three gear safely on the ground. Taxiing to the terminal turned out to be the real challenge! Note the flaps are pneumatic and either up or down. Didn't seem to make much difference so I left them up for cross wind landings. Very nice photo here!!

Beautiful aircraft, fighting a bit of x-wind.

Thank you, Kurt! * * * * *

Hi John, thank you for your insight and yes there was a across wind. Sufficient for the Fox Moth and another two having to switch to the grass runway, I think 05 not certain. Again thanks for your comments.

Hi David, thank you. You're right with the crosswind. The next three aircraft switched runway.

As per Don's comment, this photo is absolutely art. My favorite on what must have been a fly-in or airshow. Great work Kurt!

Hi Jerry Madero Thank you for your kind comment. Jerry, it's annual event by the Sport Aircraft Builders Club (SABC), held as an annual fly-in. It's popular with locals and the aircraft enthusiasts.

Hi Uwe Steffen, I don't know what is right but the U.S. DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION Aircraft Type Designators page shows the type as "RELI". FA posts also show, at times,as you say "SR-8C as type. Thank you for taking time to comment.
Greg Byington
That's a very nice shot, Kurt! And "RELI" is the correct ICAO aircraft type code for all variants of the Reliant (including the SR-8C).

Hi Greg Byington, thank you very much on both counts. Ill change the type back "RELI".
Greg Byington
You're welcome and keep up the great work!
