Supermarine Spitfire Mk IXc TE294    Between 1937 and 1948 5,665 Mark IX versions were produced  Total production of all models  22,742 - not to many left -  especially airworthy specimines  This one will fly again possibly as early as 2012    This air frame was originaly salvaged in south Africa  after service with the SA Airforce from 1947 to 1952    Wing span 36 ft. 10 in.  Fusalage Length 31 ft  12 ft. 8 in. in hight to the  tip of the 3 blade prop  Combat Weight 7,500 lbs
