In South Africa the fleet of 12 Avro RJ85’s currently in service with SA Airlink, are also slowly being phased out to be replaced by Embraer E190 E-jets. My wife and I flew in an Avro RJ85 recently from our Kruger National Park, and realized why it is also known as a "Whisper Jet".
