BOEING 727-200 (N7443U) - KSJC - On the ladder at 06:40am, The Chicago 727 is rolling to 30L for departure and someone had cleaned out their hangar with crap all over the place ( some editing) Also note the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant in the background right side of the 727 on the west side of Runway 30L. Note the 30R directional as this was long long before Runway 30R was extended at SJC. Strange dates here is this jet was delv to United Aug 7 1979, a mere 42yrs plus a week ago, and a month before I started my career job near SJC. Aug 14, 2021 is the posting date today, 42yrs and one week since it was delivered....I have no clue why I ended up with this shot today to post as I am nearing retirement soon with 42yrs plus towards the end of the year...and my all time fav jet...the 727! Who knew?

Agree, Tom. My favorite is the three-holer.

It has gone aboard in the times of the passenger operation.
At present, it is a cargo plane.

Raises my memories of my favorite as well. Flew EAL 727-225's to South America and many points in between from KMIA. Great days and nights going fast, high, with good load and range, and really fine stopping power. Sweet ship.

Don't think I've ever seen that much FOD in one place!
