BOEING 727-200 (N7443U) - KNUQ - I don't have paper of the exact date but this was probably Flag Day June 14, 1999 at Moffett Field, Sunnyvale CA USA. There was a huge American Flag to the right___a massive flag that had about 1000 people holding in place. San Jose PD had their early Model MD 500 helicopter N904PD and giving rides up in the air above the airfield to get photos of the US Flag. The "Plane Pull" was many teams and I think it was for Charity. As seen in my earlier photo today of old colors N7443U,,,I didn't even know I had a photo of both color schemes same jet, until today 8/14/2021. I have quite a few photos, and sometimes I'd film events, develop the film, glance at them, and file them away in a box, never to look at them for years. Note the aircraft doors open for ventilation and the rear air-stairs down for access, but I did not see them giving Tours. Back to N904PD, this was SJPD's helicopter that crashed in San Jose years later taking the SJPD Officer Pilots life and the Mechanic riding with him. A terrible event, the Pilot wrestling the Helo to an open intersection in NW San Jose to avoid hitting any buildings, and losing altitude fast and impacting the street. This 727 was stored VCV in 2001 and broken up later, LN: 1513.

@Tom Vance; THANKS for the memories -- I was in Silicon Valley (Cupertino/ home of Apple) and went to several Air Shows at Moffett. That hanger was big enough to have its own micro climate

An EXCELLENT click here, T. This livery was never a fave of mine because it looked like sh_t when it faded but your pic here makes it look fantastic. *****++
