Boeing 737-200 — - KSFO date apprx 1987-88 shows how much fun the SFO Millbrae Ave Airpark was - While Gman was in Loring AFB I was at SFO - I used to call this the "Merry go round: as from about 08:30AM till about 11:00AM this line of jets would never end when departures were off the 1LR Runways and usually a Saturday morning. All types of jets and props would use 1R from EMB-110s to 747s and a mix of many airlines. This photo shows an ex Air Cal Boeing 737-2 in American lettering, leading an AA DC-10-30, Pan Am Clipper Water Witch ( in which I have photos of the PA 747 elsewhere here on FA) and followed by a Continental DC-10. Behind Pan Am is an Air America L-1011 parked at a remote SFO spot. I also filmed a lot of video from here atop the ladder, Ive posted many on my YT page under my screen name MarsAveSo.

This is a FANTABULOUS shot, Tom. Just look at all the airlines .... As you have pointed out .... Air Cal paint, an American, then Pan Am, Continental, with Air America ..... AND a United ... in the background! But it's the "up front' lineup that is SUPERB!! Five *s per airline x 6 airlines = 30 *s. And TYVVM for sharing this awesome oldie.
