When I see a shot like this, I can't help but be amazed how far we have come in just 110 years since Wilbur and Orville's effort....absolutely amazing and so is this photo.

Qantas Australia's fourth B787 Dreamliner arriving on its delivery flight into Alice Springs in the centre of the continent (it's on short final - the airport at The Alice really is tarmac!). The livery is based on an Indigenous painting from 1991 called "Yam Dreaming" which depicts the culturally significant yam plant, an important symbol in the artist Emily Kame Kngwarreye’s Dreaming stories and a staple food source in her home region of Utopia. This aircraft is named after her. Glorious helicopter shot!
